The House Donates "Fat" Prizes to Minnesota's Winter Scavenger Hunt Contest

Checkpoint MN, a statewide scavenger hunt sponsored by Explore Minnesota Tourism, welcomed bikes donated by The House for winners of its 2014 scavenger hunt. But the donated bikes weren't just any bikes – they were Minnesota 1.0 Fat Bikes, cream of the bike crop.

There's never been a better time to live in Minnesota. The scavenger hunt, running from December 10, 2013 to February 7, 2014, requires each contestant to create an account on the Checkpoint MN website and upload photos of themselves next to landmarks at each location. One picture at one landmark equals one point and, at the end of the competition, the contestants with the most points win the best prizes.

Who will win the bikes? Those who will win – and those who already have won – are those who are outgoing and quick to visit 10 of the most scenic locations in Minnesota. Currently, 4 of the 5 grand prizes that include the Fat Bike have already been claimed. But there's still one more, and all you need to do to win it is visit at least one of the approved locations.

The last grand prize is part of a lottery that will draw from a pool of contestants who have at least one point. Each point equals one "ticket" entered into the lottery.
