(PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- The iArtist Collective, a recently launched online iPhoneography school has joined forces with world renowned online photography school, DEFINE. Registration for 3 new iPhoneography classes will be offered on February 3rd, led by The iArtist Collective professional instructors. The three week online courses are each geared towards anyone looking to hone their craft, improve the photos they are already taking and bring their smart phone photography to the next level.
Classes are offered online giving students the ability to participate on their own time as much or as little as they want from the comfort of their own couch.
“We are incredibly excited about having joined forces with a first class operation like DEFINE. iPhoneography is being recognized as its own art form more and more. Opening our courses to an entire new market of photography hobbyists and professionals is a wonderful way to introduce DSLR lovers to the medium and iPhoneography enthusiasts to a whole new world of photography! Just look at how the world of photography is moving forward. Articles like this Huffington Post one consistently amaze readers!" says Audrey Blake Breheney, co-founder of The iArtist Collective.
“When I first got an iPhone I had no way of knowing that eventually it would unlock the lost artist I had hiding within. This phone has allowed me to spend a few moments each day making images and being creative which in the end is as important to me as any other form of exercise. iPhoneography can open a window to those hidden creatives that think they don’t have the time or energy to devote to practicing their craft. It is my goal to guide those people into becoming artists through the simple use of the phone they hold in their pocket,” says Carolyn Mara Borlenghi co-founder of The iArtist Collective.
“We are a collective of iArtists, folks from around the world who are passionate about telling a story through captures on our iPhones,” says Soudalay Thammavongsa, co-founder of The iArtist Collective

ABOUT DEFINE:
The DEFINE School is an online photography school offering classes in a range of topics. DEFINE’s focus is to foster authentic artists, combat loneliness and make learning photography easy, affordable and accessible to people all over the world.
DEFINE’s students are equipped with knowledge and then encouraged to use it and run their own path… to achieve total authenticity. Rather than learning from a book or set of instructions, the education that DEFINE provides is personal. It is an experience. The relationship between instructor and student is based on a principle of mentorship and guidance, and as students connect with other artists, they learn more about themselves.
The approval, guidance, challenges and inspiration provided by students to one another completes the holistic education that The DEFINE School provides.
The class descriptions for the iPhoneography classes are as follows:
The Foundations of iPhoneography – understanding camera basics, mastering the best iPhone photography apps and preserving the pictures you take
Self + Art – developing your inner artist through smartphone image taking
A Mother’s Story – documenting everyday family life creatively, with a phone.
Registration for classes will open February 3rd 2014 at DEFINE.
