That loveable little tugboat Fergus Ferry, star of the popular 24 book series for children aged 2-6, has been making many new friends since his very own app was released in November for the iPhone, iPad and Android!
Over 20,000 people have downloaded the Fergus Ferry App for iOS alone and are joining him on his amazing adventures around Seaport Harbour. It’s not just young fans who are following the Ferry - the app has received a top score of five stars from the Educational App Store while the books average 4.5 stars from over 71 reviewers on Amazon.com
The app was broadcast on Newswatch on The History Channel at 6:00am local time on January 30th and on The Bio Channel at 7:00am EST so even more parents and children will discover all the Fergus Ferry stories that can be read aloud through the app to the young reader or they can read the words themselves and follow all of the goings on by the sea.
As well as featuring all of the stories in stunning ebook form, the app also has a fun game where the player can control Fergus and steer him around Seaport Harbour, rescuing swimmers, scaring off sharks and avoiding crashes! There is also an interactive harbour to explore and find out more about Fergus’ home and friends!
The app comes in two modes - a free mode which contains four of the most popular stories and one level of the game or a full, paid-for, mode which includes all 24 stories and the full version of the game.
To celebrate the great success of the Fergus Ferry apps, the full version of the app will be free for iOS devices while the Android version will be available for only 99 cents until February 28th. After this date, both versions will revert to their regular price of $89
The Fergus Ferry app is available now both in the iTunes store for Apple devices like the iPad and iPhone or the Google Play Store for Android devices.
