Reflective insulation manufacturer, EcoFoil, adds radiant barrier/attic stair cover kit products to prevent heating and cooling loss around attic stairs.

Our insulated wall and ceiling vent covers are another small solution that can help homeowners save up to 10% on their heating bill.

Iowa-based EcoFoil continues to expand its merchandise offerings with a radiant barrier/attic stair cover kit designed to stop attic door drafts and maximize a home’s heating and cooling efficiency.

The kit includes three rolls of the company’s popular radiant barrier and a polystyrene foam DraftCap to insulate an attic door and prevent heat from escaping or entering to the attic. The products are designed for easy DIY installation with just simple household tools.

Product and Sales Specialist David Arnold says many of the draft prevention products are particularly popular because of the unusually cold weather gripping much of the nation this winter.

“Our attic door insulation has an R-11 insulation value to reduce heat loss in the winter, but the benefits don’t stop there; it will also reduce heat gain in the summer, so you’re really investing in year-round savings.”

Arnold also says customers looking for the best draft prevention should considering installing A/C vent and register vent covers in conjunction with an attic door kit. The Elima-Draft® A/C Vent and Register covers are lined with EcoFoil reflective foil bubble insulation to seal any air leaks, reflect heat back into the home, and eliminate condensation. The covers have a thermal resistance of R-6 and are available in several sizes to fit either steel or aluminum registers.

“Our insulated wall and ceiling vent covers are another small solution that can help homeowners save up to 10% on their heating bill,” said Arnold.

All EcoFoil products can be purchased online at and by calling 888-349-3645. More information on DIY projects can be found on the EcoFoil blog.
