Welch Group’s Weymouth Assisted Living Celebrates 15th Anniversary This Spring
Weymouth MA (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Allerton House Assisted Living Community at Central Park in Weymouth will celebrate its 15th anniversary this spring. Rita M. and the late Thomas Welch founded the company, following in the footsteps of Mrs. Welch’s mother who took older adults in need of care into her own home in Quincy, MA. Today, Welch Group is led by third- and fourth-generation family members, and the Weymouth Allerton House’s executive director is Paul Casale, Jr., grandson of Rita M. Welch.
According to Casale, the family tradition of caring exemplified by Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group is one of the distinguishing features of the Allerton House communities. “As the next generation we are fortunate to have the opportunity to continue the legacy of my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents and to have a genuine extended family that includes our dedicated staff members and residents,” says Casale, Jr.
Resident Ruth Ghiorse, like Paul Casale, Jr. has been at Allerton House Assisted Living in Weymouth since it opened. She has high praise for the staff and is especially taken with the dining staff and how at-home they make residents feel. “They always visit us in the dining room to make sure we are happy.”
Allerton House at Central Park offers residents the right balance of independence and care. The 70-apartment-home rental community is a vibrant residence offering three meals daily, social programs, special events and outings as well as a roster of fitness and wellness programs. Fascinating clubs, Wii Fitness programs, Concerts in the Courtyard and seasonally themed luncheons are just part of the ongoing social calendar at Allerton House. The next event is a Valentine’s Day Luncheon on February 14th at Noon. A full continuum of care, including short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, is available at Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth.
