Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) will attend the Justice Conference in Los Angeles, CA on February 20–23 and the Jubilee Conference in Pittsburgh, PA on February 14–16.
This year will mark CBE’s fourth consecutive year contributing to sessions at the Justice Conference. CBE will host a booth and community meal, and Mimi Haddad, president of CBE, will host a pre-conference workshop on Friday, February 21 at 2:45 p.m. Titled “Cultivating a Biblical Worldview on Gender: Man and Woman, Renewed in Christ,” her workshop will address patriarchy as an important biblical issues that is one of the longest-standing injustices in the world.
When asked about her workshop, Haddad said, “It is such an honor to be able to speak at a conference like the Justice Conference. Patriarchy truly is an issue that cannot be ignored if we are to address injustice around the world in a faithful, biblical manner.”
CBE will also host a booth at the Jubilee Conference for the third year in a row. CBE’s booth will offer free special edition journals and other materials that address the importance of understanding biblical teaching on authority and the Bible’s impact on gender justice.
“It is a significant opportunity to be able to contribute to such influential conferences every year,” noted Haddad. “Meeting and discussing biblical equality with such devoted Christians is a constant reminder of the important place that the work of CBE holds.”
In addition to the Justice Conference and the Jubilee Conference, CBE regularly attends other Christian conferences throughout the year.
In its effort to advance a biblical foundation for gift-based rather than gender-based service, CBE sponsors annual conferences, facilitates local chapters, hosts an online book service, and publishes two award-winning journals. For more information, visit http://www.cbeinternational.org
