Broomfield, Colorado (PRWEB) February 11, 2014

Denver’s long-awaited 55+ community from Taylor Morrison, Skyestone in Broomfield, opens to the public with a grand opening celebration Feb. 15-16.

The Broomfield community, the first 55+ neighborhood in Colorado by the builder, will mark the grand opening with a weekend of food, fun and new model homes tailored to the needs of today’s 55+ homebuyer.

“It’s a community that Denver residents will love,” said Brian Cartwright, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Denver division. “We spent a considerable amount of time making sure that we designed a neighborhood that reflected the needs and desires of Colorado’s 55+ homebuyer. Our grand opening weekend will give homebuyers a taste of what Skyestone has in store for them.”

Grand opening weekend at Skyestone will be a culinary event, with four local Denver food trucks on hand with gourmet offerings such as wood-fired pizza from Basic Kneads, gourmet tacos from Mikes 2 Kitchen, cupcakes from the Denver Cupcake Truck and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches from Cheese Louise.

Set in the shadow of the flatirons, Skyestone inspires a new way of living for those looking to elevate their way of life. Two collections of homes will be available at the community, the Landmark and Pinnacle collections, with models to be unveiled in February. Each collection will offer four floor plans with option of finished or unfinished basement.

The community will feature plenty of future amenities, according to Cartwright, including the future amenity, The Lodge at Skyestone.

Tentatively scheduled to open in 2015, The Lodge at Skyestone will serve as the community’s main gathering place, a beautiful space where residents can meet family or friends for a bite to eat, yoga on the event lawn or a swim in the beautiful pool and spa. Whatever they choose, The Lodge’s interior spaces are assigned to six distinct experiential spaces - Savor, Taste, Indulge, Play, Rejuvenate and Refresh.
