ILX Offer Advice after Report Suggests Improved Employment Prospects for 2014
(PRWEB UK) 3 February 2014 -- It has been reported by the Huffington Post on December 17 that a new survey has indicated that four out of five companies are expecting to offer new job opportunities to young people in 2014. Using responses from 325 companies with a workforce of over one million, the report discovered that over 50% of participants anticipated that their workforce would grow over the next year. The study revealed that, for the first time since the beginning of the recession in 2008, organisations are expecting to employ an increased number of young people, with employers in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside offering the most opportunities.
As experts in project management learning solutions, the specialists at ILX understand how challenging employment prospects can be for young people and recognise how training programmes can prove invaluable when helping individuals find employment. A representative for the company offered their comments:
“It is welcome news that employment prospects for young people are likely to improve in 2014. The current market has made the search for employment difficult, the number of jobs limited and therefore highly competitive, so it is good news that this may improve this year.
"However, anyone currently seeking employment should consider enhancing their skills and knowledge by undertaking a relevant training programme. This can be crucial in differentiating yourself from others and securing employment. In fact, recent research from London Economics has indicated that qualifications and training have a positive effect on employment and long-term earnings in contrast to those who haven’t obtained qualifications. We look forward to following news of employment prospects this year and hope that employment rates increase in line with the report’s findings.”
