Suzanne Hawley Named Executive Director of Family Service Day, Ltd.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 04, 2014 -- Family Service Day, Ltd. has selected Suzanne M. Hawley as its executive director. Currently the owner of Hawley Communications, LLC, she assumed her new role January 1, 2014.
"We chose Suzanne because of her deep expertise in the field of marketing and public relations, as well as the organizational and leadership skills required to lead a growing and dynamic organization. Suzanne shares our commitment and passion to grow small businesses through service to others," said Charlie Marcotte, founder of the corporation.
“I am honored by the opportunity that Charlie has extended to me. I’m excited to put my talents to work for a company whose mission is to create opportunities for small businesses to grow by sharing their talents and giving back to communities,” said Hawley.
Hawley’s vast experience in the recreational boating industry over the past two decades includes managing marketing campaigns for major manufacturers of marine electronics including Raymarine, AIRMAR Technology Corporation and Charles Marine. She is the recent recipient of the Marine Marketers of America (MMA) Neptune Awards for Marketing Excellence. As executive director, Hawley will shape and approve the Family Service Day strategies, review results and set the overall direction of the organization.
Since 2009, Family Service Day’s ‘Keeping Cars Kickin’ events have gained a lot of traction in the automotive industry with certified repair shops offering free automotive maintenance to single parent families and to families with a deployed military spouse. “These businesses are helping to improve the quality of life for their communities while at the same time creating a great work environment for their employees," said Marcotte. One of Hawley’s primary objectives will be to create a national collaboration of businesses and stakeholders to engage in the national rollout of Family Service Day.
