Walkers Shortbread Continues its Support of the ASPCA® for Third Year
Hauppauge, NY (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Walkers Shortbread, the much loved and family-owned Scottish shortbread bakery, is thrilled to announce that it will continue its support of the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) for a third year. Following a successful year in 2013, during which Walkers raised $85,377 for the ASPCA, the company will commit to a third year of supporting the animal welfare organization in 2014. As with previous years, 10 to 20 cents from the sale of each of its Scottie Dog Shortbread cookies and tins will continue to benefit the ASPCA’s initiatives for fighting animal cruelty.
“We are excited to continue our very successful relationship with the ASPCA for a third year,” says President of Walkers Shortbread, Inc., Steve Dawson. “Our Scottie Dog cookies continue to remain extremely popular with our customers, and based on such positive response over the past couple of years, it’s clear that the ASPCA is a worthy organization for us to support.”
