Valerie Barnes – Cinematographer & Editor
Valerie's work has appeared on A&E, Discovery Channel, Lifetime Television, PBS, and MSNBC. Her films have also been included in museum and gallery exhibits such as The Chelsea Museum, CT Historical Society and The City Museum of New York, and The Soho Digital Art Gallery. They have also been screened at The Desert Museum in Palm Springs, AIA in NYC and Tribeca's Grand Hotel.
Julia Knight -– Writer, Actress
Julia has an extensive background in Theater and TV and has done over 70 TV commercials. Theaters: Cincinnati Playhouse, Milwaukee Repertory, St Louis Playhouse, Hip Pocket Theater and performing in Monte Carlo. Her television work has included appearances on Law & Order SVU (NBC), The View (CBS), Body and Soul (PBS) and All My Children (ABC). Campaigns for TV include: Hanes, Promise, TJ Max, Toys R US and IBM. Target, California Grapes and Lifetime to name a few. Most recently, she served as a panelist on two seasons of "Coffee Shop Confessions" on the popular Cafe Mom social network site for mothers.
Valerie Barnes & Julia Knight – Past Collaborations
Julia Knight, writer and actress, and Valerie as cinematographer collaborated Kimia Rahgozar, photographer, to create a cinematic experience called “Passerby.” This work demonstrates that in the chaos of a noisy and bustling city, calm, tranquility and stillness can always be found. Their work was exhibited in Tehran this past August.
"Make Each Day Your Masterpiece," a deeply personal film documenting a dear friend's final message for his beloved ones before succumbing to cancer.
Valerie and Julia are collaborating on a new project which will be announced within the next 30 days.
