ItaliaRail, the experts on train travel to, from and around Italy, have announced the two winners of the first ever ItaliaRail Study Abroad in Italy Scholarship. Victoria Immel, from Chapman University in Southern California, and Mary Hartwick, of Siena College in Loudonville, New York, have been named recipients of the award for the Spring 2014 semester. Each student will receive $1,000 to be used on books, tuition and other expenses related to their studies in Italy.
ItaliaRail established the scholarship to enable hard-working and accomplished students, who may have some financial constraints, the opportunity to fund their study abroad experience in Italy.

“We are proud to provide support to outstanding students who have demonstrated a great deal of dedication and enthusiasm toward spending a semester in Italy. Studying in this historic country, immersed in its rich culture, is sure to enhance their overall academic experience,” said Mike Fuller, President and CEO of International Rail LLC, parent company of ItaliaRail.
