Drew Bristow, one of the top climbers in the world will be leading the expedition into the upper canopy of the Chilean rainforest the first quarter of 2014 for exploration and research purposes. The man who took the world to the bottom of the world’s most active volcano, Marum, and shared the epic event in a style reminiscent of man’s first walk on the moon is taking us to one of the last unexplored areas left on this planet. His descent into the volcano became a viral video phenomenon with 1 million views within a month.

With his recent appointment as the Expedition Leader, Drew Bristow will be 1st lead in the expedition into Chile’s Valdivian Rainforest. As one of the world’s foremost rope experts and tree climbers, he and his expedition partner Amanda Brown will be taking followers into the upper canopies of the world’s second oldest trees. Trees aged at 3,600+ years.

An unexplored territory that has never been breached by man, Drew and Amanda will be the first humans into the unexplored upper canopy 230’ above the forest floor.

On an expedition into the old growth forests of New Zealand, Drew found one magnificent ancient tree to hold a world of its own within the branches: epiphytes, orchids, small ponds and a variety of different tree species. A micro-forest, growing in the forest trees, found in the upper canopy..

The findings in this unexplored territory will bring new scientific findings of world-changing and biological magnitude. Their group of international followers: friends, general public, scientist, climbers, adventure travelers, arborist, and conservation enthusiasts will be the first to read, see and watch their findings in real-time from magnificent heights 200+ feet above the earth’s surface.

The support and enthusiasm provided by their sponsors is helping to make their findings a worldwide phenomenon.
