Polar V650 Uber-Bike Computer Says HRWC
Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- Polar V650 was announced this week at ISPO in Europe, their version of CES, and it is without a doubt the best bike computer Polar has ever made says Heart Rate Watch Company.
"This is the best bike computer that Polar has ever built, by a country mile, and it may be one of the best bike computers ever built - period," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "Some unique features like instant on LED backlight, altitude adjusted calorie calculations, custom configurable screens and compatibility with Bluetooth Smart sensors are all unique and new to Polar."
Availability and Pricing
"The Polar V650 is expected to be available in late April to early May and cost $349.95 without heart rate and $399.95 with heart rate, which makes it about $50 less expensive than the Garmin Edge 510", says Squire. he adds, "You can pre-order it now on our website and we'll update your credit card info when they are ready to ship."
Thin, High Resolution and Always Visible
The Polar V650 is the thinnest of the modern GPS bike computers and also has the largest screen. "This is a big benefit for cyclists who like to keep a low profile but have very readable data", says Squire. He adds, "The automatic on LED backlight is awesome and makes sure the screen is always readable no matter what the light conditions".
Bluetooth Smart Speed and Cadence Sensors
Polar is launching Bluetooth Smart speed and cadence sensors will be announced by Polar this week and will all be compatible with the new Polar V650 according to Squire.
World Class
"You can guarantee that you will see pro riders and Tour de France riders on this unit this year, especially since it will interface with Polar's Look/KEO power pedals," says Squire. He adds, "The altitude compensated calories is yet just another of Polar's demonstrations of trying to get accurate data and you can bet they went into the Human Performance Lab to do it because they are committed where others falter."
