Brew Up Some Love This Valentine's Day With the Gift of Coffee
La Jolla, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- Today, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters announced they are once again selling their “Lovers Blend” coffee. Beginning on February 7 and through February 14, 2014 customers can purchase the Lovers Blend, which is a certified organic, medium roast coffee; perfect for that special someone on Valentine’s Day.
Recent studies have suggested that coffee serves as an aphrodisiac since the caffeine in coffee is a stimulant that increases heart rate and helps increase blood flow, which means this exhilarating union of organic coffees will get your Valentine's Day off to a scintillating start.
“Our Lovers Blend is an exotic combination of select coffees from South America and Indonesia,” said Chuck Patton, owner of Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. “We source all of our coffee through direct trade with the farmers, and a lot of pride and love go into this blend.”
Customers can purchase the limited time only coffee at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters located at 5627 La Jolla Blvd. in San Diego, Calif., or online at birdrockcoffee.com starting on February 7, 2014. The Lovers Blend retails for $16.99 for a 12oz bag.
About Bird Rock Coffee Roasters
Bird Rock Coffee Roasters (BRCR) opened in 2002 as a strictly grass-roots company. Organic and Fair Trade Coffee was roasted in a sublet restaurant kitchen using small one-pound capacity air roasters. At that time, BRCR coffee was sold at farmers' markets and through home-delivery service. In 2006 the retail shop on La Jolla Boulevard in Bird Rock, La Jolla, CA was opened directly across the street from a Starbucks. In 2007 BRCR shifted towards a Direct Trade buying model for most of their green beans. Since then, BRCR coffee buyers have been establishing mutually beneficial long-term relationships with farming partners at origin. BRCR spends much of the year traveling to coffee-growing regions all over the world to collaborate with farmers to secure special and unique coffees. BRCR’s goal is to secure great coffee while paying the growers far more than they would receive via other green coffee-buying models.
Awards for BRCR include: National Micro-Roaster of the Year 2012, over 25 coffees on Coffee Review scoring 90 and above (out of a 100 point scale). Locally, in San Diego, BRCR won best organic coffee in 2008 San Diego Magazine and was rated best coffee shop in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 in the La Jolla Light. http://www.birdrockcoffeeroasters.com
