Avicii "#TRUETOUR" North America Onsales on Friday, January 31st

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 31, 2014

Ticket Down announces that one of the top DJs in the world will be heading to the United States beginning in April for a seven-show tour. This genius DJ is the mix master behind the hit song, “Wake Me Up,” featuring Aloe Blacc. Avicii, the Swedish-born 24-year-old is one of the most popular DJs and producers in the world and he sells out his concerts on a regular basis. His tour will take him to many of the biggest venues around the United States and tickets will be hot commodities in these areas.

According to DJ Magazine, just two DJs are ranked ahead of Avicii on their annual list of the top 100: Hardwell and Armin Van Buuren. Avicii has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, first in 2012 for “Sunshine,” which he partnered with another top DJ, David Guetta, and then in 2013 for “Levels.” In 2013, Avicii released his first studio album, True, has reached the top five in many countries album charts including No. 1 in his home country, No. 5 in the United States and No. 2 in Austria, United Kingdom and Switzerland.

His most popular songs have been released off from True, including “Wake Me Up,” “You Make Me,” and “Hey Brother.” The latter has gone as high as No. 36 on the singles charts in the states and is still rising up the charts. The song has vocals from an American bluegrass singer, Dan Tyminski. This song will be considered one of his most popular off the album, but to beat the success of “Wake Me Up” might be difficult. The song featured vocals from Aloe Blacc and the popularity of the song has helped Blacc gain notoriety and a spot on Bruno Mars’ 2014 tour. “Wake Me Up” turned into the summer anthem in many nations around the world. It reached the No. 1 spot in more than 80 countries around the world and has made tickets to Avicii’s live shows one of the most sought after in the world.

Avicii's real name is Tim Bergling and he became popular in Europe in 2011 with Le7eis, and has put out songs with numerous popular artists including Imagine Dragons and Adam Lambert, in addition to Blacc and Tyminski. He has played many major shows in the past including two shows as an opening act for Madonna at Yankee Stadium and was the first DJ booked at Radio City Music Hall, a show that sold out in two minutes.

The “#TRUETOUR” will kick off in Boston, Massachusetts at the TD Garden, the home of the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. Other notable venues that will sell out when Avicii brings his tour to North America include the Toyota Center in Houston, TX; Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Tickets for these shows, and the other four dates currently announced will go on sale to the general public on January 31st.
