VoipSwitch Releases Its New iOS and Android RCS/OTT Mobile Dialers, WebRTC Compatible
London, UK (PRWEB) February 05, 2014 -- Among many new features and improvements, both support WebRTC technology and can interwork with WebRTC based browser clients. The solution was presented at ITExpo 2014 in Miami. Video and audio calls were made from and to the Portal (part of the VoipSwitch softswitch platform) to iPhone and Android based smartphones.
WebRTC is a new browser technology which enables high quality video and audio communication directly from the web. Despite its growing popularity, there is still lack of full support on mobile devices. VoipSwitch’s software addresses this gap, providing a flexible solution combining a browser based client, mobile native RCS/OTT applications and the backend simplifying interworking with an existing provider’s infrastructure.
A demo of the solution is available through VoipSwitch’s ivippie.com brand with clients available on Google Play and Apple App Store under the name Vippie. Providers are offered a private labeled partition of the Vippie platform or a standalone dedicated system.
