In this role, Newport manages a team that ensures Updox customers realize an outstanding relationship with the organization throughout the entire lifecycle from implementation through ongoing support. Updox’s Customer Experience team maintains a “customer for life” opportunity for Updox customers.

Newport has a solid background in healthcare software and customer service, including managing a team of 40+ customer service and testing professionals. His previous employment includes both large and small companies, providing him an excellent background and strengths in relationship building, mentoring and supervising teams, strategic thinking, deliberative approach, reliability, and adaptability. He has a strong history of interfacing with both internal business users and external customers in a variety of technology projects, including healthcare software implementations and CRM programs.

Prior to Updox, Newport held leadership roles with TIBCO Software, DSW, Applied Innovation and Sterling Commerce.

Newport is a Certified Project Management Professional. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University and Master of Business Administration from Franklin University. He is a resident of Hilliard, Ohio.
