Annual FreeBalance Steering Committee Event to Focus on Change Management and Sustainable Reform
Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- FreeBalance, a leading vendor of Government Resource Planning (GRP) software, announced that the annual FreeBalance International Steering Committee (FISC) event will take place from February 2-6, 2014 in St. John’s, Antigua & Barbuda. The event is designed to share good Public Financial Management (PFM) practices among countries to improve fiscal effectiveness. FISC is critical to the FreeBalance customer-centric approach and social responsibility mandate of sharing governance improvement lessons. The theme of the eighth annual FISC is “Change Management and Sustainable Reform.” The interactive program will enable country delegates to identify innovative ways to accelerate and sustain PFM reform efforts.
The 2014 FISC event is being hosted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of Antigua & Barbuda. “FreeBalance customers are at the forefront of PFM reform and this event provides an opportunity for country delegates to collaborate to achieve the shared goal of improved governance,” said Manuel Pietra, President & CEO of FreeBalance. “FreeBalance embraces the concept of customer-centricity and FISC helps ensure that our solutions evolve in line with customer priorities.” The FISC chair is Dr. Cleopatra Gittens, the Accountant General of the Government of Antigua & Barbuda.
