Government of Antigua & Barbuda to Host Bi-Annual Ministers’ Roundtable on Public Financial Management Reform

Interactive sessions to focus on the use of technology to drive sustainable government reform and modernization efforts in FreeBalance customer countries.

FreeBalance, a leading vendor of Government Resource Planning (GRP) software, announced that the bi-annual Ministers’ Roundtable will take place from February 2-5, 2014 in St. John’s, Antigua & Barbuda. The interactive sessions will focus on how participating countries have leveraged technology to drive sustainable government reform and modernization efforts. The Ministers’ Roundtable centres on public policy, economic growth, civil service transformation, fiscal transparency and the impact of technology on governance.

The Ministers’ Roundtable is sponsored by FreeBalance and is being hosted by the Honourable Harold Lovell, Minister of Finance, Government of Antigua & Barbuda. “The 2014 theme is highly relevant for Ministers around the world and we stand to learn a great deal from each other as we move through the different stages of the reform process,” said Minister Lovell. “The round table format enables us to work collaboratively in support of common goals, such as enhanced service delivery to our citizens.” The event provides Ministers an opportunity to share effective practices to support Public Financial Management (PFM) reform.
