ACG Chicago, Inc. (Association for Corporate Growth in Chicago) Welcomes 22 Leaders to its 46th Board of Directors
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- ACG Chicago, the premier professional organization driving middle market corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions, has elected its 2014 Board of Directors. These 22 Directors bring unique vision and leadership to already nationally known base of corporate leaders.
This Board of Directors brings extensive investment banking, commercial banking, financial, accounting, corporate management and legal expertise to help ACG Chicago build markets, lend financial and management expertise, and increase stakeholder value. With 21 returning Directors, ACG Chicago welcomes Jeffry S. Pfeffer (Managing Partner, CapX Partners) as a new Officer.
This overall continuity focuses the organization on launching new initiatives developed over the last year to drive more exploration and interaction of leading professionals in highly targeted areas. The new monthly Sunrise Sessions focus on narrow topics like executive compensation to franchising to financial reporting are members only presentations. The quarterly curriculum for the new Chicago School of Global Growth is open to all and covers the strategic aspects of deciding to grow through international channels. A Women's Network and more initiatives will be announced in the coming months.
These programs build on 20-30 nationally recognized annual events that draw from 100-1,200. The annual M&A Market Trends breakfast March 7th will see 250-300 professionals networking about deals and expectations. Other breakfasts and lunches plus industry conferences around Healthcare, Food, and Manufacturing augment the country's largest private equity exhibition in October. All of this business generation is attributable to ACG Chicago's exceptionally strong board and dedicated committees.
The 2014 Executive Committee includes President Tom Turmell (Managing Director, TMT Capital Partners), Executive Vice President Suzanne Saxman (Partner, Seyfarth Shaw), Secretary Venita Fields (Senior Managing Director, Smith Whiley & Company), Treasurer Murray Lessinger (Managing Partner, White Oak Group), Past President Dustin Weinberger (Senior Vice President, GE Capital) and CEO Craig Miller (CEO, ACG Chicago).
