Acquisition Serves as Catalyst to Drive New Growth and Enhance Services

CW Professional Services, formerly Compuware’s Professional Services division, began operations today as a standalone company following the completion of the sale of the business unit to Marlin Equity Partners, a global investment firm with more than $2.6 billion of capital under management. CW Professional Services will continue to be headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, while maintaining additional North American sales and delivery offices.

CW Professional Services will continue to evolve over the coming months, unveiling a new, permanent brand identity in the process. "While some things are changing — such as our name and logo — the critical components of our business are not, including our people, our locations and our continued commitment to customer service, excellence and innovation," said Marj Kozlowski, CW Professional Services President.

For four decades, CW Professional Services has provided technology strategies that drive growth, delivered systems that serve as the backbone of global enterprises, and transformed business through emerging technologies. Combining a deep heritage in enterprise IT with emerging technology expertise, the group has demonstrated leadership in a number of key segments, including:

  • Driving a New Era of Enterprise Mobility – transforming businesses across industries such as food, manufacturing, and transportation by applying mobile technology to solve business challenges and capture new opportunities.
  • Enabling the ‘Internet of Things’ – building the vision and infrastructure that has helped our customers support nearly one billion machine-to-machine (M2M) transactions to date while transforming data into insights and enterprise action.
  • Pioneering the ‘Connected Car’ – connecting more than 20 million vehicles to date, and turning these connections into information that allows engineers and marketers to improve both their products and the customer experience.

“I want to congratulate the Professional Services team as they enter a new chapter in the history of their business,” said Trever Scott, Senior Director of IT, North America, Dole Fresh Fruit. “We have had a tremendous partnership over the years, and I look forward to continuing our work together as we transform Dole’s mobile technology vision in the future.”

With the sale completed, CW Professional Services will be better equipped to reinvest in its business, deepening its technological expertise and service delivery capabilities for the benefit of both existing and prospective customers. CW Professional Services will continue its progression as a leader in enterprise integration of new technologies, driving additional share of the high-growth, emergent technology segments—such as mobile, machine-to-machine and Big Data analytics—in which the group has gained significant momentum in recent years.
