Monroe College's Online Bachelor's Degree Program Ranked Among Best in the Nation by U.S. News & World Report
Bronx, NY (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- Monroe College, a national leader in urban and international education, today announced that it has been ranked as having one of the best online bachelor’s degree programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Of the five programs that made the list in the New York metropolitan area, Monroe was ranked third with a tuition that is one-quarter the cost of colleges with higher rankings.
Monroe has been offering online degrees for the past seven years and nearly 600 of its students are completing their degree fully online. Of the five ranked colleges by U.S. News & World Report in the New York City area, Monroe offers the least expensive online bachelor’s degree program with an annual tuition cost of $12,336.
The online bachelor’s degree program rankings are based on four factors, including student engagement – student satisfaction and instructor responsiveness; student services and technology – the amount of financial, technical and vocational support available to distance learners; faculty credentials and training – how well a school prepares qualified instructors to teach remotely; and peer reputation – opinion harbored by other institutions. For more information on the ranking methodology of U.S. News & World Report, please see here.
“Monroe undoubtedly offers the greatest value for online degree programs in New York City,” said Stephen Jerome, president of Monroe College. “Students enrolled in our online program greatly benefit from its convenience and flexibility, and are encouraged to take advantage of our highly accessible campuses in the Bronx and New Rochelle for additional resources and support from our dedicated staff.”
The college offers online bachelor’s degree programs in business management, criminal justice, health services administration, hospitality management, information technology and public health. To learn more about Monroe’s online programs, please visit http://www.monroecollege.edu/online.
