Well-known professional matchmaker, Samantha Daniels, soft-launches The Dating Lounge, the first invitation-only dating community on Facebook where friends date each other’s friends.

The Dating Lounge

“The Dating Lounge is positioned to be a pioneer for a new kind of online dating - dating as one's real self, in real time, and dating one's friends’ friends. This is what people want - information, connections, accuracy and exclusivity."

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, The Dating Lounge, is finally accepting members. The Dating Lounge is the first ever invitation-only dating community where friends can actually date each other’s Facebook friends. The Lounge has a unique, six degrees of separation feel to it, as the entire community is populated by its Members and the friends they invite to join. The lucky Facebookers who get an invitation to the app will have the ability to join now for free as well as invite 10 of their friends to join.

“The Dating Lounge is positioned to be a pioneer for a new kind of online dating - dating as one's real self, in real time, in a private community and dating one's friends’ friends. This is what people want in today’s dating world - information, connections, accuracy and exclusivity,” says Daniels.

Other unique features of The Lounge are:

  • Members use their real names, so they immediately know with whom they are interacting.
  • Information on Members’ profile page is pulled from Facebook, which means no misrepresented ages, misleading photos or falsified occupations.
  • The app offers proprietary mutual friend technology, whereby any member can very easily see who they have in common with a potential date, which provides a feeling of comfort and connection.
  • Members can ask mutual friends to make introductions for them just like they do in real life.
  • Members can access photos of other members in real time, so they are very authentic.

Daniels conceived of the idea for The Dating Lounge after spending day after day listening to her high-end matchmaking clients lament about their sub-par online dating experiences. Daniels, the founder of the well-known Professional Matchmaking service, Samantha’s Table, has been deeply entrenched in the dating industry for over 15 years since she ditched her job as a matrimonial attorney. She created The Dating Lounge to solve all the issues and complaints she heard about online dating.

Daniels says, “These days, if you are single, you are online dating, or you should be. However, often times, more upscale people resist dating online because they feel that the quality of people is too low, making their experience too random. The Dating Lounge will solve this issue by allowing the Members to regulate the membership, by having members use their real names to control the accuracy of the information and by allowing members to see how they are connected to a potential love interest. This provides security and connections in the dating world. Our tagline, is “Do you belong?” So I ask you, do you?”
