The power of therapeutic touch allows openness, activating the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
Williamsburg, Va. (PRWEB) February 02, 2014
Greater Williamsburg residents have a new option for massage therapy, with the recent opening of Spiral Path Massage and Bodywork in Williamsburg. Owner and massage therapist Meredith O’Brien offers a peaceful, safe refuge for relaxing, therapeutic massage.
A certified massage therapist for more than 10 years, O’Brien is also skilled in craniosacral therapy, deep tissue and maternity massage, as well as breath work and Chakra balancing.
She is also certified as a level-two Reiki provider. Reiki is a Japanese stress reduction method that promotes healing through a laying on of hands. O’Brien describes Spiral Path’s mission as a “guided pathway to wellness.”
“As a bodywork therapist, my goal is to act as a guide and witness to the process of healing,” she says. “The power of therapeutic touch allows openness, activating the body’s innate ability to heal itself.”
At Spiral Path – located at 215 Ingram Road, Suite D – O’Brien offers: Swedish relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, therapeutic fusion massage and stretching to target specific areas, mother (or prenatal) massage, Reiki and reflexology. Relaxing enhancements are also available as add-on services, ranging from aromatherapy to Chakra tuning.
One-time sessions and packages are available. At parties and corporate events, O’Brien can provide seated chair massages.
Clients have called O’Brien’s presence gentle, noting her intuition and thoroughness.
As a believer in whole-body wellness, she offers free consultations to new clients wondering what type of massage therapy is appropriate for them.
Appointments are available Tuesday through Saturday.
