Hollister Launches Two New Products to Meet Patient Needs in a Changing Healthcare Market
Libertyville, IL (PRWEB) February 19, 2014 -- Hollister Incorporated announced today the launch of two new intermittent catheters, VaPro™ touch free hydrophilic intermittent catheter and Apogee IC™ intermittent catheter. These two new intermittent catheters build upon the existing Hollister Continence Care portfolio of intermittent catheter products and services, which includes the Advance Plus™ touch free intermittent catheter system and the Secure Start™ services program.
“We are very excited to offer a full portfolio of intermittent catheters, including the only pre-hydrated hydrophilic intermittent catheter with a protective tip and sleeve [VaPro] and our first product [Apogee IC] in a new line of more affordably priced continence care products,” said Michael Gresavage, Regional Vice President, North America.
Hollister offers several intermittent catheter options to provide the right balance of ease of use and protection. While the Advance Plus and Advance Plus Pocket™ touch free intermittent catheter systems are great choices for those who prefer gel lubrication and a collection bag, the new VaPro touch free hydrophilic intermittent catheter is a ready to use hydrophilic catheter with a protective tip and sleeve.
The VaPro hydrophilic intermittent catheter uses pure catheter hydration technology to minimize the amount of water in the package while still providing a pre-hydrated catheter that is ready to use as soon as the package is opened. The VaPro catheter is designed for easier insertion and withdrawal with a smooth hydrophilic coating and protective tip and sleeve to help keep bacteria away from the catheter.
Also launching is the Apogee IC intermittent catheter, the first product in the new Apogee Essentials line of intermittent catheters. Developed based on feedback from both healthcare providers and patients who are facing declining reimbursement rates, the Apogee IC catheter will be the first product in a full line of more affordably priced continence care products by Hollister. By offering the same trusted quality from Hollister that patients know along with the same Apogee catheter comfort that they expect, Hollister hopes to continue helping healthcare professionals deliver a more rewarding and dignified quality of life for patients.
“Hollister Continence Care is fully committed to providing products, services and support to help healthcare professionals provide personalized patient care,” said Sal Mancini, Vice President Professional Relations and Clinical Education. “These additions to our line of quality products and services enable us to provide more comprehensive support to both healthcare professionals and the patients they serve every day.”
