The Commercial Movers – a premium residential, commercial, and international, moving company headquartered in Southern California, is pleased to announce a changeup to their office and commercial moving prices. The new price changes focus on commercial moving services offered to smaller companies looking to get the efficiency of premium office moving companies, but at a more economical price.
As Company Spokesperson Tom Pinkus put it, “What we are really looking to do here is more precisely set our prices in line with our costs. Rather than blanket prices based solely on one or two metrics, we are attempting to better take our customers’ individual situations into account. We think that with the all the diversity among modern businesses, there is room for diversity in pricing as well…Overall, if you will allow me the metaphor, we want to provide all of our customers with business class pricing, but with first class service and quality.”
In the pursuit of this goal, The Commercial Movers will be offering larger discounts not only to businesses who have fewer items to move, but to those whose items are easier to move. This change relies on the reasoning that easier to move items are also cheaper to move for The Commercial Movers, and therefore, those savings can be passed on to the customer.
Under the new pricing system, companies whose items are largely regularly shaped, light, and durable, can expect a not insignificant discount on their move. Additionally, moves that require no extra safety precautions – such as those that do not involve transporting chemicals, artwork, or heavy machinery – can qualify for further discounts. Even businesses who do not qualify for any of the above discounts are not completely out of luck. Those who are able to move on a flexible schedule can apply for what The Commercial Movers is calling its Flex Move discount. The discount would essentially lower the customer’s total bill in exchange for agreeing to greater flexibility for the time and date the move takes place. Akin to seasonal pricing at hotels, The Commercial Movers will be offering lower prices to customers who are available to move at times when The Commercial Movers fleet is under less stress. Similarly, these price cuts can be offered to customers who book their move farther in advance.
On the Flex Move discount, one recently booked customer said, “I knew our small office needed to expand long before the lease on our current space was up. So, I called up The Commercial Movers, and since I knew when I would be moving more than six months in advance, they gave me quite the price cut for the early booking. I guess it’s worked for airlines, why not office moving companies?”
