ClearBlade Announces Public Beta for Enterprise Mobile Backend Platform
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) February 04, 2014 -- ClearBlade, Inc., the enterprise mobile platform for the Fortune 500, today launched the public beta for its powerful mobile backend service. The Austin-based company offers a mobile backend that connects mobile devices to legacy systems of record, effortlessly and securely. ClearBlade eliminates months, and in some case years, of complex developer work for large enterprises and puts them squarely in control of their mobile future.
The platform acts as a fast, easily-deployed mediator between mobile devices and existing systems of record, allowing them an unbroken line of communication in real time. These enterprise systems form the backbone of some of the largest industries, but in many cases present a major challenge for developers building and designing mobile apps that tap into them.
“As the market shifted to mobile, our team of enterprise veterans saw a gap forming between the enterprise systems that organizations have relied on in the past and the increasingly mobile future,” said ClearBlade Founder and CEO Eric Simone. “Large enterprises are having to invest years building APIs to access their systems just to build a single app. We wanted to provide a universal platform that could close this gap and help the Fortune 500 innovate alongside their mobile-first competition.”
As the continued shift to connected devices, BYOD, and the Internet of Things all signal an accelerating need for mobile solutions, Fortune 500 corporations are facing costly and time-consuming challenges.
ClearBlade’s platform was designed from the ground-up for heavy-duty enterprise environments, and can be deployed behind the firewall, integrating tightly with security policies, or live in the cloud to eliminate onsite infrastructure needs. ClearBlade’s APIs are immediately usable, so there is no need to rip and replace the middleware technologies that are already in place or disrupt the stable environment of existing systems of record. The entire ClearBlade platform is owned and controlled by the enterprise, so they can retain complete control and not solely rely on vendors.
“We knew this problem required a powerful, comprehensive solution,” said Simone. “The one-off, project-based solutions of the past five years have become unsustainable for our customers. In addition, mobile backend platforms must be deployable on-premise, behind the firewall, to be secure. We have done that and more with the ClearBlade platform. We’ve engineered our scalable technology for the enterprise first, from day one.”
ClearBlade has been working with select customers in private beta since Fall 2013, and today is opening its platform up to the public to test for free. Developers that wish to participate in the public beta can utilize the ClearBlade software and begin implementing enterprise mobile solutions in a sandbox environment. ClearBlade will also be opening the doors to new beta customers for the first time, increasing the number of live implementations of its platform.
