Jostens and the Boston Red Sox have announced they will partner once again to create a championship ring to commemorate the team’s 2013 World Series Championship. The ring, which is currently being crafted, will tell the story of the emotional Red Sox victory at Fenway Park. The one-of-a-kind ring will be presented to members of the 2013 team during a special ceremony during Opening Day festivities on April 4th, 2014.
Jostens master jewelers and the Boston Red Sox will also collaborate to develop a collection of jewelry and Red Sox memorabilia that will be available for fans to celebrate the organization’s 2013 championship season. The collection, which will be available April 4th 2014, will offer every Red Sox fan the opportunity to own a piece of team history. The Red Sox will work with Jostens to enable fans and ticket holders the chance to purchase items from the collection.
“Jostens is honored to partner once again with the Boston Red Sox to design and craft a stunning championship ring that celebrates the Red Sox historic World Series win,” said Chris Poitras, Director, Sports Marketing and Development, Jostens. "Our master jewelers are working closely with members of the Red Sox organization to create a brilliant ring to recognize the team's accomplishment.”
“We are excited to be working with Jostens to create our third Championship ring,” said Red Sox Principal Owner John W. Henry. "We know this will be yet another spectacular ring for our players and front office to commemorate our historic season.”
The Boston Red Sox won the 2013 World Series Championship in Game 6 of the series, earning their third championship crown in 10 years, and their eighth overall championship.
