South Carolina Heart Gallery Releases Q4 2013 Numbers
Greenville, SC (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 -- Of the 19 South Carolina families who initiated the adoption application process through the South Carolina Heart Gallery between October 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013, 17 were the result of the advertising and PR activities of the South Carolina Heart Gallery Foundation.
The Foundation supports the work of the South Carolina Heart Gallery through series of TV commercials, online advertising, media relations and fundraising. By using mass media to spread the message that hundreds of children in our state remain waiting for their forever homes, the Foundation is extending the reach of the South Carolina Heart Gallery, allowing it to connect even more adoptive families with adoptable children.
Millie Qualls, Program Coordinator of the South Carolina Heart Gallery, believes the results of the Foundation's commercials have been especially exciting.
"We are seeing more and more families approach us to start the adoption process because they saw one of the South Carolina Heart Gallery Foundation's commercials. The Foundation's support has allowed us to reach more families, help place more children in forever homes, and better represent the children in foster care in our state," says Qualls.
Additionally in Q4 2013, the South Carolina Heart Gallery completed and submitted 14 family home studies, saving the Department of Social Services (DSS) $7,000 that would otherwise have been used for independent Certified Adoptive Investigators. Also, DSS reported that 21 South Carolina Heart Gallery children were matched with their forever families.
