Columbia Forest Products, North America’s largest manufacturer of hardwood plywood and veneer, announces the launch of its new corporate website, which follows a corporate rebranding package introduced last year.
The new website (http://www.cfpwood.com) offers information, inspiration and answers for architects, designers, furniture manufacturers, cabinet shops, woodworking professionals and others who use hardwood plywood and veneer to produce fine finished goods.
The new website is characterized by a clean, lighter look along with easy, streamlined navigation and readability on all devices – desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
“We have redesigned the website to enhance the user experience,” Todd Vogelsinger, Columbia’s Director of Marketing, stated. “The site contains the same valuable information it always did, plus more. Now, it’s just easier to access, review, download and share. We feel it’s really going to boost our mission to help customers of all types optimize our products for their specific needs,” he added.
Among the special content features of the website is a new Product Visualizer function, enabling site visitors to view nearly 40 products and finishes as they might appear on finished products. This easy-to-use tool also allows panels to be viewed in either horizontal or vertical orientation – and in residential or commercial scenes.
“We’re making it easier than ever to evaluate different woods and finishes and ‘drill down’ to the most preferred options,” Vogelsinger says. “It’s a feature that our customers have been using to help their own customers choose the looks they prefer.”

For example, Columbia’s popular Hardwood Plywood Grading Guides are now available in English- and French-language versions.
According to Vogelsinger, the new website’s content and functionality reflect a larger purpose. “Not only are we North America’s largest producer of hardwood plywood panels and veneers, but we want to be the most important resource for answers when it comes to the highest value options for healthy, beautiful all-wood materials used in furniture, cabinetry, fixtures and furnishings.”
Vogelsinger also reported that later expansion of the website will include a new password-protected area for Columbia’s fabricator and distribution partners, aimed at streamlining communications and providing easy access to information from any device.
