The team wanted to design a simple yet amazing visual platform for users to really engage with the FameKickr concept but also leverage the growing photo sharing market.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 06, 2014
A team of three entrepreneurs have developed and self funded a new photo-sharing app called FameKickr. This free and innovative app is unique due to its one-minute photo deletion timer.
FameKickr deletes photos that do not acquire enough votes from users’ friends during the specified time frame. The deletion timer can also be considered a quality controlled system for the Famekickr community. Photos that earn ten votes will remain. They will then move on to the FameKickr community pool voting with a chance to headline the FameKickr leaderboard. The top 12 daily photos can earn virtual badges, rewards, and perks. Future updates will allow users to earn more time to vote on photos.
When it is officially unveiled at SXSW on March 07, 2014, it will include its own Android and iOS app. FameKickr is intended for fun, personal use, or business networking. The platform can also help users identify new business opportunities through photo content discoveries. It is divided into three levels: Friend, Community and Leaderboard.
The platform was designed to be a lifelike, real-time wall collage of photos appearing and disappearing as new images are uploaded. A project press representative explained, “The team wanted to design a simple yet amazing visual platform for users to really engage with the FameKickr concept but also leverage the growing photo sharing market.” FameKickr has a basic filtering system to add flare, effects, or editing to your photos. It will also offer a CanvasPop order button to turn photos into pieces of art that can be displayed in your home or office.
The stealth mode platform is currently seeking beta testers to help provide feedback before the SXSW show. To sign up for beta testing, visit http://famekickr.kickoffpages.com. A representative of the startup said, “Expect more features as we continue to take feedback from our users to build an amazing platform for photos that the communities pick.”
