Covenant Surgical Partners will begin the process of going live with gMed’s solution in twelve of their centers throughout the United States and plan to expand to all of their endoscopy procedure centers in the future. Covenant decided to choose gMed’s solution, gGastro due to its technology, specialty specific nature, and integration between offices. gGastro’s ability to be used within the physician’s office and seamlessly connect to the procedure center will make documentation that was once cumbersome more intuitive for their physician partners.
“We are excited to become the go-forward EHR partner for Covenant Surgical Partners,” stated Joe Rubinsztain, MD and CEO of gMed. “We continue to be impressed with Covenant’s vision and use of information technology to drive better value by improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.”
“Following a detailed evaluation of potential software vendors by an internal multi-disciplinary team consisting of clinical resources, operations management, center managers and Information Services, Covenant is excited to announce this partnership with gMed,” according to Chris Oubre, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Covenant Surgical Partners. “As Covenant continues to focus our growth efforts around Gastroenterology as a specialty, partnering with an EHR vendor that has the same focus made sense on multiple levels. The fact that we are able to implement, host, manage and support the System in a centralized manner and at an enterprise level creates a strategic advantage for us as a company.”
