“Since Renderosity was born out of a web software company, Bondware, we felt that buying Blacksmith3D was a natural fit to our mix of brands,” states Jenifer Carey, RPublishing Manager.

Effective immediately, Renderosity will operate and manage all aspects of the Blacksmith3D software and its associated products. The existing Blacksmith3D website will remain operational under the guidance and management of the Renderosity staff. Users will still be able to download the Blacksmith3D & Texture Transformer software packages and applicable updates from the Renderosity Marketplace.

The Blacksmith3D software allows artists the ability to easily generate high-end visual results while ensuring maximum workflow optimization. Due to the rapid growth of the Blacksmith product lineup, Renderosity believes they’re in a unique position to continue to offer product updates and technical support deserving of a product with limitless potential. In combination with Renderosity’s responsive support staff and on-going backend support of the previous owner, David Fielder, Renderosity plans to develop a new version of Blacksmith3D over the next year. This new version would include, among other things, additional figure support for Blacksmith's Texture Transformer.

“I am extremely excited about Blacksmith3D joining forces with Renderosity! I feel that Renderosity’s marketing and customer support capabilities will pump new energy to this great product and help push it to the next level. We all have our strengths and for me it’s software development. This is a great opportunity for me to focus on one simple goal – making Blacksmith3D even more powerful than ever before! I look forward to engaging this year with fresh energy while being backed by a supportive team with one common goal; to provide you with the best 3D texture painting experience possible.” Dave Fielder – Creator of Blacksmith3D
