Jumpstart Foundry Opens Applications for the 2014 Cohort
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) February 07, 2014 -- Jumpstart Foundry (JSF), Nashville’s first and longest running tech product accelerator program, announces the opening of applications for its 2014 class.
With four years of experience, Jumpstart Foundry established itself as a top accelerator with many successful alumni and a success rate over 60%. Each summer, Jumpstart selects 10 startup teams to participate in its 14-week mentor-based cohort. Of the participants that do complete the program and go on to raise money, an average of $800K is raised per company. To date, Jumpstart Foundry companies have raised over $11M in follow on capital.
Jumpstart Foundry Founder and CEO, Vic Gatto, talks about the benefits of the accelerator for companies: “Our teams leverage the propriety JSF curriculum taught by six incredible professors. This standard methodology is then customized to the needs of each start-up through work with the Jumpstart Mentors. Additionally, the teams get access to free or discounted services (estimated valued over $40,000) exclusively provided to JSF companies & alumni.”
Jumpstart Foundry maintains that the strength of its program lies with the mentors that it recruits and trains. Over 100 mentors with specific strengths ranging from product development to finance, and marketing to operations, work with the cohort each year to strengthen all aspects of the business and give them the best chance for success upon graduation.
Last year, graduates of Jumpstart’s cohort Gun.io, went on to win the Tenn, an independent competition organized by LaunchTN to find the best ten startups in Tennessee. Jumpstart also sends a select group of alumni each year to continue their growth and development in its San Francisco offices.
The application can be found at the recently refreshed Jumpstart website: jsf.co.
