After two years of collaboration, G-CON Manufacturing LLC and Sartorius Stedim Biotech announce the amicable dissolution of their cooperation agreement.

G-CON Manufacturing LLC and Sartorius Stedim Biotech have amicably decided to dissolve their cooperation agreement. The companies have realized many benefits from working collaboratively for over two years now and have completed many projects together. However, during this time, both companies have experienced a perception in the market that the alliance prohibited the parties from working with other qualified companies who offer products in the other party’s respective field. Since both companies’ mission is to fulfill the requirements of their pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients in the best way possible, it has become apparent that such an agreement is no longer warranted. The dissolution will correct the misapprehension in the market while allowing both parties to work together where desirable or as dictated by customer specifications.

“G-CON’s autonomous cleanroom PODs accommodate a variety of process equipment of multiple suppliers,” states Maik Jornitz, COO of G-CON Manufacturing LLC. “And we need to maintain that flexibility by implementing any equipment in our PODs which will meet our clients’ requirements or optimize process settings. Since we were asked numerous times, whether we implement only Sartorius Stedim processing equipment, we realized that the alliance caused confusion. With this announcement, we seek to put that confusion to rest.”

Similar to G-CON’s requirement of flexibility in regard to process equipment, Sartorius Stedim Biotech requires the ability to implement their product portfolio in any cleanroom or facility design.

The companies will continue to work together when appropriate or as dictated by customer requirements. And the companies will continue to seek guidance from each other in their respective fields as circumstances warrant.
