Organic olive oil producer Bellucci Premium comments on an article from Entertainment News that showcases Fig and Olive’s executive chef and chef to the stars, Pascal Lorange’s, tips on how to use olive oil for healthier cooking.
In an article published by Entertainment News on January 23th titled “How to Use Olive Oil for Healthier Cooking, Plus Tips from Fig & Olive’s Chef Pascal Lorange,” Pascal Lorange discusses the importance of olive oil in cuisine and in diets. Lorange says that he uses olive oil in place of cream or butter at his infamous Fig and Olive restaurant not just because of the health benefits, but also for the added flavor. He says, "We're doing something different, and the people that come like to be healthy…We do healthy food. We don't use butter, we don't use cream, we just use olive oil and I pair that with each dish on the menu."
Lorange takes advantage of the different types of flavors and aromas that olive oils have to offer. He says, "We have thirty different types of olive oil. Everything has different flavors. Every six months we have fresh olive oil. It's like wine." Fig and Olive even offers an ‘Olive Oil Guide’ to their patrons, which includes tips on how to do an olive oil tasting at home.Lorange even uses olive oil in the dessert menu. He says, “We do a green apple sorbet with green apple segments, grapefruit juice, mint, grapefruit segments and we finish with olive oil… That's a great way […] to be healthy."
