Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, One Direction, and an Unknown Predator Helps Vision Films Launch EFM Sales Slate
Berlin, Germany (PRWEB) February 06, 2014 -- Vision Films has announced today it has assembled a strong selection of feature films, documentaries that “make a difference,” and iconic music documentaries for which the sales company will be introducing the projects at the upcoming EFM market.
Vision Films acquired international rights for THE IDENTICAL, a musical drama directed by Dustin Marcellino and starring Blake Rayne, Ashley Judd (Kiss the Girls), Seth Green (Austin Powers in Goldmember), Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix), and Ray Liotta (Goodfellas). The film follows identical twin bothers separated at birth who have more in common than good looks, they are both talented musicians. As one brother rides the rock ‘n’ roll wave to the top of the charts, the other struggles to find his purpose in life while capitalizing on the uncanny likeness to the most famous musician in the world. THE IDENTICAL will screen at EFM on Friday, February 7th at 19:15 in the DFFB-KINO Theater.
Additionally, Vision Films picked up worldwide rights for THE EXPEDITION, directed by Adam Spinks and starring Neil Newbon (The Run), Ben Loyd-Holmes (Skyfall, Band of Brothers), Ernesto Cantu (World War Z), and Angela Peters (Fear). Deep in the jungle, a research team sets out to protect the endangered species of the Amazon. After a series of strange events the superstitious guides head back to safety while the team remains, and as night falls they quickly discover they are not alone. The hunters become the hunted, terrorized by a new, unknown predator! THE EXPEDITION will screen at EFM on Tuesday, February 11th at 18:00 in the Cinemaxx 15 Theater.
Features currently in production include FEAR CLINIC, a horror film starring Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm St.), Thomas Dekker (Nightmare on Elm Street), and Kevin Gage (Heat) in which five people with debilitating phobias check in to the Fear Clinic for treatment. The patients are placed into a special chamber to make them face their worst fears through life-like hallucinations, but when the chamber becomes possessed by a supernatural parasite-like entity the more the patients scream, the more terrifying and real their hallucinations become; and 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT LIFE, a romantic comedy from director Gil Junger (10 Things I Hate About You) and starring Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler) and Thomas McDonell (The Forbidden Kingdom) tells the story of young woman who meets a man while both are trying to commit suicide, just when they were ready to give up, they find a new reason to live… LOVE!
Recently completed new releases such as MANTERVENTION and CONTRACT KILLERS will also be represented at EFM. MANTERVENTION is a college comedy about the process of getting over the ex by moving #ontothenext, while CONTRACT KILLERS is an action film about a hit man who learns that he's the target for a dangerous assassin and so begins a ruthless game of kill first of be killed!
Documentaries that entertain, inspire, and inform consist of: COMEDY WARRIORS, a film that illustrates the healing power of humor through the stories of five wounded veterans and four top comedy coaches (Zach Galifianakis, Bob Saget, B.J.
