Smartphone Safety Apps Help to Reduce Sexual Assault
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 06, 2014 -- Jill Campbell, Chairman of Safety Alert Apps, Inc., the White House award-winning Smartphone Safety App technology developer announced today the need to form a National Sexual Assault Task Force. In making the statement, Campbell said, "I applaud President Obama for creating the Federal Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. But, we also need to get at the root of this problem which starts well before young women and men arrive at the doorsteps of college."
Campbell continued, "1 in 5 young women being sexually assaulted on a college campus is completely unacceptable. We need to engage all of our educational institutions and religious organizations to develop age appropriate programs that can educate our young people at a very early age about sexual assault."
She added, "We designed the OnWatchOnCampus® app to help keep college women safer from assault, and the WatchME911® app to help keep working women safer. But, nothing would make me happier than to go out of business because the need is no longer there."
Campbell stated her company is supporting the White House Federal Task Force Initiative by educating University administrators and local law enforcement about her company’s products. She concluded, "We know the effectiveness of our product and we also know that it is only part of the solution to help make our co-eds and campuses safer."
