Aptara-Produced Interactive eBook Wins 2014 Digital Book Award
Falls Church, VA (PRWEB) February 10, 2014 -- "The Man with the Violin," an interactive eBook published by Annick Press and designed and produced by Aptara, won the annual Digital Book Award for best “Enhanced Children’s eBook.” Bill Penders, Aptara’s President, and Brendan Ouellette of Annick Press accepted the award from renowned literacy advocate and Master of Ceremonies LeVar Burton. The award gala was held during the January 2014 Digital Book World Conference in New York City.

"The Man with the Violin" is an enhanced eBook with audio read-alouds, embedded music, and exciting animations on every page. It was designed and developed in a fixed layout EPUB format for the Apple iPad, KF8 format for the new Amazon Kindle, and optimized EPUB format for Kobo eReading devices.
