Foot Levelers Sponsoring ACA National Chiropractic Legislative Conference
Roanoke, VA (PRWEB) February 07, 2014 -- To help guide the future direction of the chiropractic profession, Foot Levelers is a corporate sponsor of the National Chiropractic Legislative Conference and Education Symposium (NCLC), an American Chiropractic Association (ACA) event. The 2014 NCLC is being held at the Hyatt Regency Washington and is scheduled to open on Wednesday, February 26.
The keynote speaker for this year’s NCLC event is Senator Jerry Moran (KS), a fervent supporter of chiropractic and its commitment to bringing improved health to people. Senator Moran is a co-sponsor of the Chiropractic Care Available to All Veterans Act (S. 422), which would increase integration of chiropractic care into the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ health care system.
Moran’s fellow co-sponsor of S. 422, Senator Richard Blumenthal (CT) is also slated to be a featured speaker at the NCLC. Also featured speakers for the event are Representative Bill Enyart (IL), co-sponsor of the Chiropractic Health Parity for Military Beneficiaries Act (HR 741), and Representative Cory Gardner (CO).
The NCLC features a wide range of legislative briefings, advocacy, leadership development sessions, and continuing education programs.
“We have a longstanding commitment to advance the legislative process for the chiropractic profession,” notes Dr. Mark Zeigler, Foot Levelers Vice President of Education. “We are proud of our involvement on the local and national level.”
