deFacto Global Will Host The deFacto 5K Charity Event at Microsoft Convergence in Atlanta
Ridgefield, CT (PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- deFacto Global will host The deFacto 5K on Wednesday morning, March 5th at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. The goal is to raise $15,000, with all proceeds being donated to The Atlanta Community Food Bank.
“deFacto is helping so many Microsoft Dynamics customers run their businesses more successfully that we felt hosting a 5K event would be a great way to let the entire Dynamics community share our collective successes by helping those that are less fortunate”, said deFacto CEO Bob Bedard. ”We hope to add some fun and drive participation by giving special awards for things like ‘the most amusing running outfit’ or ‘ the most spirited team.' ”
Committed to supporting a range of charitable causes, the 5K race in Atlanta is one of many events deFacto will host throughout the year. All suggested donations to join and sponsor the event will be paid directly to the designated charity. Companies that donate $500 or more can have their logo printed on the event’s tee shirt.
To ensure that 100% of the money raised during the deFacto 5K Atlanta 2014 goes directly to The Food Bank, deFacto* will bear all costs to organize, promote, advertise and manage the 5K event. In addition, the registration process will take each participate directly to The Food Bank's website.
Bedard urges all Microsoft Convergence attendees to join the 5K event. “There are a lot of great reasons to participate in the deFacto 5K,” he said. “Join for the exercise, the fun, the awards, and to spend more time with your colleagues, or join just to support The Food Bank.”
