“Mystic Coffee is about finding your authentic self and taking action to step up your life in a number of meaningful ways,” says writer, director and producer Jeff Leisawitz. “It’s also about a sexy superhero barista with a kick ass magic ring.”

A Kickstarter campaign to raise $10,000 for production of “Mystic Coffee 2,” a self-empowerment short film that inspires people to find happiness, peace and fulfillment, launched today at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/electron-unlimited/mystic-coffee-2?ref=home_location. The original “Mystic Coffee” short film is available through GaiamTv.com, the world’s leading ‘conscious media’ video-on-demand service. The success of “Mystic Coffee” inspired writer/director Jeff Leisawitz to create a sequel as a sharable gift for anyone who resonates with this powerful message. Registration for a kick-off fundraising event can be found at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/572444.

“Mystic Coffee is about finding your authentic self and taking action to step up your life in a number of meaningful ways,” says writer, director and producer Jeff Leisawitz. “It’s also about a sexy superhero barista with a kick ass magic ring.”

Leisawitz spent lots of time in coffee shops guzzling lattes and people watching. From his hyper-caffeinated perspective he realized that a barista is a sober version of a bartender, a best friend and/ or a therapist. With his background as a registered counselor and life coach, Leisawitz had an idea for a screenplay.

With the help of a magical ring and some otherworldly superpowers, the troubled barista in Mystic Coffee becomes enlightened and begins spouting
sage advice to her customers: the neurotic woman; the ungrateful hipster; the out-of-love couple; the mildly depressive, over-eating, video game addicted nerd.

The kick-off event will feature a screening of “Mystic Coffee” and meet-and-greet with the director and star, and an inspiring talk with internationally known life coach, educator and spiritual writer Richard Seaman. The event will be held in a classroom at the Seattle Life Coach Training center, 650 S. Orcas St. Suite R203, Seattle, WA 98108, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Space is limited and event registration is recommended; sign-up online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/572444.

Leisawitz, a certified life coach, educator and award-winning musician, hopes to help empower everyone to live their lives like a superhero. More information can be found by liking the “Mystic Coffee” Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mysticcoffee.movie.
