AMX Adds Google Calendar & Quick Response Scheduling to Further Simplify Resource Management Suite Experience
Amsterdam, The Netherlands (PRWEB) February 06, 2014 -- Expanding on its strategy to create AV solutions focused to support an IT world, at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2014, AMX® announced that Google Calendar is now available as the latest addition to the AMX Resource Management Suite (RMS) Enterprise schedule interface lineup. Google Calendar is a tool used to organize and share events and is widely used by businesses and schools. Integrating it with RMS allows end users to increase their productivity with even more options for smart, reliable and easy to manage room scheduling in corporate conference rooms, K-12 and higher education classrooms, multi-use conference facilities and other venues. To further facilitate a simplified scheduling experience, AMX also introduced its new Quick Response Scheduling (QRS) solution for RMS Enterprise that provides a convenient and cost effective option for viewing specific room schedules directly from any mobile device.
RMS Enterprise Scheduling Interface for Google Calendar (RMS-SCH-GGL) is a comprehensive application that facilitates scheduling, calendaring and room support. The application utilizes the Google Calendar API to communicate with Google Apps for Business. From a touch panel, Google Calendar displays the daily room schedule, appointment details, and offers users the capability to create ad-hoc meetings that are saved to Google Calendar.
Visitors to the AMX Booth at ISE 2014 also got to experience firsthand, the convenience that the new RMS Quick Response Scheduling solution adds to RMS Enterprise scheduling. Simply by scanning an easily and affordably generated QR code mounted near an RMS-managed room’s entrance, visitors can immediately view the room’s schedule from their mobile device using any QR code scanning app. This highly effective, low-cost method is the perfect way to increase productivity for any room that lacks a scheduling panel.
RMS Enterprise Scheduling eliminates two major barriers to meeting effectiveness. It assists attendees in locating meeting rooms by displaying the scheduled appointments on a touch panel in the meeting room and adjacent to room entrances. Users can reserve rooms directly from the touch panels by selecting from available free time or extend an existing appointment. RMS also eliminates delays in meeting start times by allowing users to pre-configure their room facilities, eliminating the time typically spent on equipment setup. RMS Enterprise also offers scheduling interface support for Microsoft Exchange® (EWS) and Lotus Domino®.
