That is the case this summer when the extremely popular group will perform on the “A Very Special Evening with Dave Mathews Band.” The group announced that they will be performing two sets a night and will play songs from their entire catalog of released and unreleased tracks, while also mixing up acoustic and electric versions of the songs. The tour will kick off at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, Texas and will conclude with a show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA.

Dave Mathews Band was formed in 1991 with original members, Dave Mathews (guitar), Stefan Lessard (bass), Carter Beauford (drums) and LeRoi Moore (saxophone). Moore passed away in 2008, but the other original members remain and they have been putting out popular music since joining together. The group has seen great success including being the only group to release six straight studio albums that opened at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 200 album charts.
Other than putting out popular music, one thing the Dave Mathews Band is known for is putting on memorable summer tours. They have toured the world in most the years they have been a group and to keep things interesting, have made it their staple to play each song differently from night to night. They use lighting and video shows during their concerts to add to overall aura of the show and fans have been left going home excited each night.
Among their most popular songs that those that aren’t familiar with the Dave Mathews Band might have heard include “Crash Into Me,” their biggest mainstream hit, “American Baby,” “Funny the Way it Is,” “Ants Marching,” “The Space Between,” and “Where Are You Going.” The songs have all been hits around the world and have helped the group sell more than 30 million copies of their albums worldwide.
They have released eight albums since 1994 including Before These Crowded Streets, Everyday, Busted Stuff, Stand Up, Big Whiskey & GrooGrux King, and Away from the World, all of which reached the top of the albums charts in the United States. The latter was their most recent release and has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
