Backyard Travel Release New China Tour: Ancient Xi’an by Vintage Sidecar & Jeep
Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) February 07, 2014 -- The special one-night tour whisks tour takers around the Loess Plateau by vintage motorbike sidecar and 1960’s-style jeep to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor after an overnight stay in the unique Wang family cave dwelling.
Beginning in the sidecar of a vintage motorcycle, travelers will first be driven to visit a local blacksmith who uses traditional techniques to forge weapons and tools before stopping at Xi’an’s local art district on the outskirts of the city, developed based on Beijing’s famous ‘798’ district.
After switching to an iconic 60’s jeep, romanticized by locals for their sturdy, reliable nature, travelers will then ride out to the Wang family caves where they will enjoy a homemade dinner with their host family before spending the night in the atmospheric dwelling.
The following morning, the China tour takes travelers to one of the most iconic sites in China – the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor to discover the majestic and mysterious Terracotta Army.
Later, the insider tour moves on to a local Xi’an vineyard where travelers can enjoy learning all about Chinese wine production with a tasting before enjoying a delightful lunch. Trip takers then have the chance to discern the location of a hidden 1,500-yr-old pagoda hidden in the depths of the nearby forest before returning to Xi’an.
“As a company dedicated to insider moments and authenticity, it’s wonderful to be able to offer unique overnight stays at dwellings such as the Wang family caves,” said Backyard Travel’s General Manager Maeve Nolan. “We hope this overnight excursion, which also makes an insightful stop to see the magnificent Terracotta Army, will offer travelers a deeper understanding of life on the Loess Plateau.”
