Bloxx Appoints Mark Gibson to Spearhead Worldwide Sales Growth
Edinburgh, Scotland and Boston, Mass. (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- Bloxx, a leader in Web content filtering and security today announced the appointment of Mark Gibson as sales director. With more than 20 years proven sales experience in the information technology (IT) industry, most recently with Capita, Gibson joins Bloxx to grow the business both in the U.K. and internationally by extending Bloxx's worldwide channel program.
Before joining Capita, Gibson was responsible for overseeing SAS's public security sales and marketing efforts across the entire SAS Public Security Group including the U.K., the Americas and other international markets. During the last ten years he has worked extensively with indirect and hybrid channel partners in high growth regions such as Africa and the Americas. Gibson will use his experience and knowledge of global vertical markets to forge new channel partnerships for Bloxx across multiple territories as well as looking to enhance existing relationships with resellers in the U.K. and in North America.
"Organizations of all shapes and sizes want to make better use of the Web. Yet all too often they are restricted by legacy filtering technologies that simply can’t cope with an always-on global economy and the rapid growth of the Web,” said Mark Gibson, sales director of Bloxx. “Filtering technologies need to react in real-time to the world around them. If they can't, then they present a serious risk. The business imperative for more dynamic security presents a unique opportunity for Bloxx and its channel partners to showcase how a next-generation approach to content filtering delivers the proactive control organizations desire."
Bloxx currently works with more than 50 channel partners internationally including NTS, European Electronique, Caretower, Cygnia, and Academia. Gibson is charged with growing the channel base by more than 50 percent by the end of 2014. As well as building a comprehensive channel partner program, Gibson will also focus on direct sales opportunities.
"With Web content filtering firmly on the political, social and enterprise agenda, we're seeing a number of accelerated business opportunities, said Charles Sweeney, CEO of Bloxx. “With his proven track record in developing businesses and taking companies into new markets by direct and indirect routes, Mark is the ideal candidate to help us achieve our growth plans."
