BloKO, the mobile application that blocks sports spoilers from social media, announces that the company has launched a product that supports the Winter Olympic games in Sochi. Users can now include filters for Twitter and Facebook that limit what they see in regards to Olympic events. BloKO is currently available for download in the US at the Apple App Store.
BloKO founder Ryan McKim said “We’re really excited to have this for the Olympics since the time difference in Sochi makes it difficult to watch events live. Users can watch the Games on their own time, but with BloKO they don’t have to worry about one of their friends or over eager reporters ruining the outcome by mentioning results on Twitter or Facebook.”
BloKO has filters for all 15 Winter Olympics events, including: Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsled, Cross Country, Curling, Freestyle Skiing, Hockey, Luge, Nordic Combined, Snowboarding, Ski Jumping, Skeleton, Speed Skating, and Short Track.
Founded in 2013, BloKO was the idea of Ryan McKim, who was tired of his friends tweeting the score of his favorite football team before he had a chance to watch the game on his DVR (Digital Video Recorder). He designed BloKO to block spoilers for all sports including the National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, and Mixed Martial Arts.
BloKO is the mobile application that blocks sports spoilers from social media. As a sports enthusiast who may not be able to watch an event live, you can filter out messages on your Twitter and Facebook account that may reveal the outcome of the game. With BloKO, you can use your social media with confidence and not have to worry about sports spoilers from your connections.
