Professional Photographers of America Now Offering Live Streaming Workshops
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 10, 2014 -- For the first time ever, Professional Photographers of America (PPA) will offer a live streaming option for its upcoming Business Basics workshop.
Acknowledging the difficulties in taking time away from the studio, PPA Business Basics workshops will now be available live online. The feature gives members another option to acquire much needed advisement for their photography business.
“We’re so excited to offer a live streaming option for our workshops,” said Angela Kurkian, director of education for PPA. “We hear all the time from members who wish so badly they could come to a workshop but just can’t make the travel arrangements work for them. Now, they don’t need to come to Atlanta—they can attend from anywhere! With live streaming, we hope these photographers and more can attend these workshops and learn how to be more profitable.”
The business workshops are put on by PPA, the authority on business education for professional photographers. The program is all about helping photographers operate sustainable businesses, helping them increase their sales, keep more money and take back their lives.
The next PPA Business Basics workshop will be held March 29 and 30 in Atlanta with online live streaming. This two-day workshop features top-notch advice from two instructors: Bridget Jackson, a CPA who has helped hundreds of photography studios boost their profitability, and Jeff Dachowski, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, a business mentor and successful photographer who knows what it takes to succeed as a photographer today.
Attendees will learn how to evaluate their own business strengths and opportunities for growth, develop a more profitable pricing structure, create a greater client experience and learn proven marketing and promotional ideas to bring more clients through their door. The workshop boosts confidence and helps photographers’ build plans for success, based on their unique needs. While attending in-person offers attendees the opportunity to learn up close and personal, the stream is interactive, so those online will still be able to have their questions answered.
As a non-profit, PPA is able to offer these workshops free of sponsor influence. Instructors have no products to pitch and place all of their attention on the material.
