CollegeWeekLive, the leading website where students and colleges meet live online, and professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC US) invite high school students and their families nationwide to an interactive video presentation on financial planning for college and careers titled, “Design a Game Plan for Financial Success” on Thursday, February 13th at 5:00 p.m. EST at a CollegeWeekLive online event. The complimentary one hour videocast, featuring Shannon Schuyler, Corporate Responsibility Leader for PwC, and Drew Gooden, founder of the Drew Gooden Foundation, will be held during a virtual college fair showcasing hundreds of colleges and providing an opportunity for online attendees to get real-time answers to their questions.
This live interactive presentation, which is part of PwC’s Earn Your Future, a five year commitment to address youth education with a focus on financial literacy, will offer high school students and parents insights on financial planning and investment as they look ahead to post-secondary education and explore careers of interest. The one hour program will also feature PwC and Junior Achievement’s JA Build Your Future mobile application, which assists teens in evaluating potential career paths and related educational opportunities and costs.
“As the cost of higher education continues to grow relative to average family income, this multimedia program, which helps students and their parents develop an understanding of the financial considerations for education and career decisions, is a must-see,” said Robert Rosenbloom, President and CEO of CollegeWeekLive.
CollegeWeekLive, which was founded in 2007, has revolutionized the way students research and reach out to colleges online. It is estimated that one third of the estimated two million students that will apply to college in the coming year will use the website. For students or parents who cannot attend the session due to a scheduling conflict, the video will be available on demand at CollegeWeekLive.
